Health coaching helps people bring out the information they already have inside of them.  For instance, we know eating nutritious food, exercising, or reducing stress is good for us but why don’t we do it.  We may know we need to make a lifestyle change but maybe it's overwhelming.  In health coaching the client figures out their why and what works for them.  As a result they are able to make changes that improve their health.  In health coaching the client is the expert of their own life.  The health coach doesn't tell the client what to do, they help them discover what is best for them.  This is how change occurs.

Each step a client takes creates internal motivation, and builds self confidence that fosters lasting change.  This is the goal of health coaching, for the client to create their empowerment to make whatever changes they want in their life.  Goals are set by the client and health coaching helps them determine what those goals are and how to reach them.  Health coaching is completely directed by the client.  It is all about them.  And goals may change.  Life changes and sometimes a re-evaluation of goals is needed.  It’s natural, that is how we take care of ourselves.  If something isn’t working, we change it.

 

 

Here are some of the things I know

 

Trauma, stress, and fear change our physiology.

 

Wellness is way more than what we eat.  All aspects of our life affect our health and wellness.

 

Our external life directly influences are internal health.

 

Supporting people gives them tools to make the transformational changes that are best for their body and life.

 

We want our body to focus on running its systems the best it can.  We can do this by working on keeping our immune system strong and giving it as much support as possible with the choices we have made to nourish it inside and out.

On your body in your body.  The personal care products we use are important.

 

Many people know what not to eat and still need help making changes.

 

Everyone is different.  The nutrition or wellness choices I make, may not be the same things that work for you.  It's individual, we are unique, special people.

 

Having support creates lasting change.
